Job description

Job Details

Job location: UCC Libertyville – Libertyville, IL 60048.

Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the District Sales Office in achieving profitable territory goals.
  • Develop and execute the annual business plan covering water treatment, material handling, dry sorbent injection, and aftermarket parts sales for the domestic utility coal‑fired power plant market and other heavy industrial segments.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales volume targets and manage contract and parts sales per forecast.
  • Identify, hire, and train new field sales resources to support district growth.
  • Coach and mentor district engineers on sales and technical training.
  • Maintain customer relationships and conduct technical sales presentations, including on‑site visits.
  • Research market trends, competitive analysis, and network with key customers and partners to identify new opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to customers, ensuring UCC systems operate correctly and assist with contract progress.
  • Travel extensively to meet with customers (approximately 100–140 calls per year) and support team initiatives.
  • Demonstrate UCC Environmental core values in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of technical problem‑solving and/or sales experience in engineering/technology‑based power generation and/or heavy industrial environments, with wastewater treatment and material handling experience preferred.
  • 7–10 years of management experience.
  • Successful business development record, including breaking into new markets.
  • Proven ability to grow sales channels and revenue.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on results and leadership presence.
  • Willingness to travel >70% of the time in the District territory.
Education

A Bachelor of Science in engineering (mechanical, chemical, civil, or environmental) is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay: $150,000–$200,000 annual salary based on skills and experience.

Incentive pay: up to 50% of base, based on achievement of sales targets.
