University Business Administrators
Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing data, business processes, and systems to support operational efficiency and decision-making within the University Business Administrators (UBA) and for the Asst Vice President of Administrative Services. Performs advanced analytical work involving business process evaluation, data analysis and visualization, and reporting to support organizational goals. Provides advanced support on finance and administrative tasks and manages special projects for client sites.
  • Develops statistical analysis methods for strategic planning within the University Business Administrators (UBA). Utilizes SQL, Snowflake, and data reporting tools to optimize queries, dashboards, and reports. Designs and maintains databases and dashboards and creates financial and statistical reporting systems. Reviews and analyzes UBA site reports and data to identify trends, formulate recommendations for process improvement and resource allocation, and implements solutions. Manages assigned projects and serves as a liaison to departments to review and communicate recommended solutions effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Evaluates, manages, and maintains specific reports, databases, and dashboards. Validates integrated data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and business integrity. Provides leadership, advanced support, research, development and guidance on Finance and Administration related tasks for client sites. Serves in the absence of UBA senior staff and with varying operational project assignments.
  • Responsible for working with UBA staff and the Deans, Directors, and Department Heads of assigned client sites to create reporting tools and put systems in place to implement and maintain operational efficiencies. Recommends policies and procedures to client site leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and ensures proper internal controls.
  • Independently maintains and troubleshoots core business applications. Uses in-depth knowledge of university system modules to extract, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities, and improve processes. Successfully incorporates the use of university-approved AI systems to streamline data analysis and visualization. Contributes to requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts. Resolves complex issues, escalating to the Director when necessary. Collects and analyzes data, provides summary analysis, and investigates compliance matters. Acts as a liaison with internal stakeholders and F&A central offices for data reporting compliance.
  • Develops and updates training resources, including work samples and presentations. Guides department representatives to resolve technical questions. Coordinates system overview trainings and other one-on-one trainings as needed. Creates technical manuals and job aids for the department.
  • Serves as the Information Security Manager (ISM) and the SeminoleSecure Business Impact and Disaster Recovery Coordinator for the department. Ensures data is stored correctly and maintains emergency plans. Oversees the UBA website, technical tools, and form repository. Manages system permissions and documents position procedures. Works directly with the Director on any assigned special projects.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
