Job description

Position Summary:

Processing incoming/outgoing mail & packages. Monitor window activity. This position is for afternoons Monday–Thursday, 12-4:30pm and Friday 12-3pm.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive mail and log receipt of packages at the Mail Center. Sort and distribute all mail and packages daily. Coordinate positive relationship with USPS, UPS and FedEx and any third-party handlers for outgoing mail. Supervise student workers.
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail in cost-effective, timely manner. Adhere to USPS requirements for all first-class and bulk mail.
  • Monitor window activity to distribute packages for student/staff/faculty.
  • Oversee working operation of copier and postage machine. Arrange for service if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Master's Degree program at Ohio Dominican University.
  • The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office suite and be able to generate reports and track statistics.
  • Additionally, they must be able to support the mission and vision of Ohio Dominican University.

Educational Value:

  • Will develop written and oral communication skills through correspondence with staff, faculty, and students.
  • Will develop leadership, mentoring, and management skills needed to support student workers.
  • Will identify and apply appropriate ethical practices in decision making in accordance with policies and protocol.

Compensation:

  • Tuition Remission: Maximum of 18 credit hours per year.
  • Stipend: $5000
