"Lead the Care TEAM That Cares for the TEAM"

Occupational health nursing is a specialized discipline focused on delivering comprehensive health and safety programs to workers and workplace populations. The practice emphasizes promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting individuals from workrelated and environmental hazards.

The Nurse Manager serves as the clinical and operational leader for Occupational Health Services, providing professional guidance, support, and supervision to the occupational health staff. This role ensures strong clinical practice, fosters professional and educational development, and oversees training initiatives that promote safe, effective, and personcentered care.

Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining occupational health programs, policies, and procedures at the facility; supervising and evaluating nursing and support personnel; and ensuring all nursing practices align with established standards and scope of practice. The Nurse Manager participates in facility management meetings to provide occupational health updates, conducts annual performance evaluations, and manages hiring and scheduling to ensure proper staffing across all shifts.

Additional responsibilities include managing workers' compensation cases, ensuring compliance with OSHA, state, company, and legal reporting requirements, and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The role also supports facility safety and ergonomic initiatives, develops and delivers health education programs for Team Members, and performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 2+ years' management experience and knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk unassisted through the plant, quickly respond to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required as well as ensuring team members and supervisors are following prescribed modified restricted duty requirements.

Other Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills and independent decision making and problem-solving skills
Travel: 1 - 3 domestic trips per year.
