Job description

Job Summary: This role provides essential office support by implementing and maintaining administrative systems, procedures, and policies while overseeing various administrative projects. The position ensures smooth front office operations and manages supply procurement efficiently. It serves the needs of associates, physicians, and patients within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest.
Essential Responsibilities: Perform all typing and copying tasks for the department, including creating forms, maintaining menu systems, and preparing reports, minutes, and communications for physicians and hospital staff. Ensure all word processing and correspondence are completed promptly and accurately. Responsible for timely completion of requested correspondence unless otherwise directed by the Office Manager. Manage phone communications by answering calls, retrieving voicemails, and initiating contact or paging for physicians and departmental associates. Provide coverage for front office phones when necessary. Maintain accurate correspondence and message records related to these duties. Handle filing and copying of patient and non-patient related documents and correspondence. Offer constructive feedback to improve front office efficiency and effectiveness.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework or experience in administrative and receptionist duties, including typing, word processing, spreadsheet skills, and communication, is preferred.
Work Shift: 1st Shift in a regional healthcare facility located in the Midwest.
