Job Summary
Support the Lake Havasu City Senior Center by providing front desk and administrative office assistance. This role helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations while following local, state, and federal program guidelines and policies across Mohave County. Anyone who enjoys helping others, has good communication skills, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Hours: 8am - 12pm and/or 12pm - 4pm

What You'll Do:
• Welcome visitors and assist seniors with questions
• Answer phones and direct calls
• Provide general office and administrative support
• Help maintain an organized, welcoming environment
Special Job Requirements
  • Must complete all County required training courses
  • Provide acceptable driving history at no cost to the County.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for operation of motor vehicles on Arizona roads at the start of volunteering and maintain said license while volunteering in this position.
Additional Requirement:
  • Must pass a background check
  • May be required to pass a drug screening test

Essential Job Functions
  • Performs general clerical work such as typing, ordering supplies, sorting and distributing mail, copying documents, etc.
  • Data entry as required.
  • Perform and complete assigned projects related to the specific position assigned to.
  • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks based on assigned position to include, but not limited to, greeting and directing visitors and callers, checking in visitors, making appointments, completing routine request forms etc.
  • Create and maintain a supportive work environment with other departments and community programs, Public Health divisions, and Public Health leadership on accreditation domain while maintaining a culture of quality improvement.
  • Communicate and act in a culturally competent and professional manner maintaining cooperative relationships with community members, co-workers, and work contacts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Modern office practices and records maintenance procedures,
  • Effectively operating a variety of office equipment to include computer keyboard; typewriter; fax transmittal; and copiers,
  • Understand, interpret and apply pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations regarding laws, rules, policies, and procedures to a diverse group of people in a tactful manner, make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations, be involved with problems/situations, which may be controversial or sensitive in nature, maintain confidentiality, understand and grasp ideas quickly and follow instructions with initiative and exercise good judgment.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
  • Work may be performed off-site at schools, health fairs, and community events.
  • Work may involve sitting at a desk or table using a Computer Display Monitor and keyboard.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of this classification with or without reasonable accommodation.
