Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a motivated Junior Angular Developer to support a key DOJ program. The developer will help deliver new features and enhancements to a high visibility federal web financial and acquisition application, working closely with senior developers and technical leads.
This position is located in our Lafayette LA or in our Fairfax VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Develop User Interface (UI) components and features using Angular under senior developer guidance
. Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, accessible code
. Assist in building reusable modules and shared libraries
. Participate in code reviews and follow established coding patterns
. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate REST APIs
. Conduct unit testing and defect resolution
. Apply basic performance and accessibility improvements (Section 508)
. Learn federal development best practices and secure coding standards
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Meets LCAT requirement: Bachelor's degree + 6 years of relevant experience
. 1-3+ years direct Angular development experience (Angular 2+ required)
. Working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
. Basic understanding of RxJS and asynchronous programming
. Familiarity with Git/GitHub or equivalent source control tools
. Strong desire to grow within a modern federal development environment
. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Exposure to SASS/LESS or other CSS precompilers
. Exposure to automated testing frameworks
. Experience supporting a federal or regulated agency
. Familiarity with RESTful API consumption

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $172,400.00.
