The Emergency & Critical Care Technician is responsible for providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service while working with doctors and shift leadership to address patient care needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Triage of critical patients
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient history, treatment estimates, and admitting and discharging of patients.
  • Restrain animals for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture.
  • Monitor anesthesia and recover patients post-operatively
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.
  • Perform basic kennel duties as required.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with Doctors and clients regarding their patients' needs.

SCHEDULE:
  • Daytime shift (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM).
  • Three 12.5 hour shifts per week.
  • Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Veterinary Technician experience is required.
  • Licensure is preferred but not required.
  • Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can effectively deal with them even when they are stressed, ill, or in pain.
  • Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.
  • Excellent customer service, computer, and phone etiquette skills are required.
  • Ability to bend, stand, stoop, walk, and stand for an extended period of time.
  • Required to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
