Job description

The Product Configuration Specialist is responsible for understanding TWS' product offerings to successfully configure these within the SaaS. Analyze and review the different specifications for existing and new programs, determine how these can be set up in the administrative system and configure them appropriately. The individual is responsible for entire product setup - creating the products and any variations along with the creation and management of rate files. TWS offers a large suite of products, each of them with their own pricing structures and variations for different clients. The individual must be comfortable navigating hundreds of spreadsheets for different pricing variations and making updates to them followed by system setup. Understanding the terms of the product is essential to correctly configure these in the system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand TWS product offering, product specifications, and the pricing structure for each product

Understand system functionality as it pertains to product specifications

Understand the different modules that impact rating such as vehicle classification, mileage eligibility, packs and markups etc.

Review and analyze customer requests for product variations and pricing modifications to implement changes accurately within the system

General understanding of how SaaS work and how the different modules are related

Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance

Collaborate with actuaries on customer requests to ensure we provide actuaries with current pricing and successfully implement new pricing they provide

Liaise with insurers to submit product proposals with new or modified rating structures

Analyze and compare rating structures as and when required

Configure new products within the system, make changes to product specifications and import pricing

Ability to navigate through multiple large spreadsheets for analysis or changes to pricing

Test and audit rates after implementing new programs or changes

Troubleshoot rating issues

Liaise with our system administrator regarding any issues in product setups or rate file imports, and discuss/review functionality changes that are required for process improvements

Pull information from the administrative system to complete tasks or investigate an issue

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for multiple products is essential.
