Job description

We are seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Hematology Oncology provider for a full-time, ongoing locum tenens assignment in Seattle, Washington. This position features a compressed 4-day work week and a highly shared, low-burden weekend call rotation. Need providers available for full-time support. Schedules that are 2 weeks on and then 2 weeks off or similar are not helpful for our department in its current state.

Position Overview
  • Specialty: Hematology Oncology
  • Start Date: October 1, 2026 (Potential to start earlier if privileges are issued sooner)
  • End Date: Ongoing
  • Availability Required: Full-Time (4 weeks per month)
  • Schedule: 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday), 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hours: 10 guaranteed hours per day (OT applies after 10 hours/day). Unpaid lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
Clinical Scope & Call Structure
  • Setting: Primarily Outpatient Clinic with occasional inpatient weekend call.
  • Weeknight Call: Beeper call 1–2 nights per week for established Hem/Onc clinic patients.
  • Weekend Call: 24-hour beeper call for hospital oncology patients. Call is shared within a large pool of 15–20 total Oncology providers, making weekend call exceptionally rare throughout the year.
  • Preferences: Lymphoma and cell therapy experience are considered a strong plus.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) only
  • Licensure: Active Washington (WA) license or active IMLC state compact required
  • Certifications/Credentials: Active DEA and BLS
