We are seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist to join a hospital-employed team that includes endovascular surgeons at South Texas Health System (STHS) McAllen in McAllen, Texas. This role offers a highly desirable 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation schedule with no outpatient clinic responsibilities, allowing you to focus exclusively on inpatient neurological care within a nationally recognized comprehensive stroke program while working alongside a collaborative care team.

South Texas Health System McAllen is designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Level I stroke facility and is certified by the Joint Commission in Hidalgo County, making it an invaluable resource to the community. The facility meets the current Brain Attack Coalition, American Heart Association, and American Stroke Association recommendations, actively participates on the Texas Regional Advisory Council, and as a DNV-GL Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, offers the most advanced level of stroke care 24/7.

Responsibilities Provide inpatient neurohospitalist services including acute stroke intervention Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff Manage day-to-day inpatient neurological care and shared call responsibilities Document patient care using Cerner EMR
