Job description

Sales Representative – Advanced Wireless Solutions (Enterprise & K–12)

Location: Southern California Markets

Department: Sales
Reports to: Area Sales Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Sales Representative to prospect, sell, and support advanced two-way radio systems, physical security systems, and safety SaaS solutions for enterprise and K–12 education markets. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven sales role responsible for researching, designing, and presenting complex technical solutions that meet customer needs. The position is primarily outside sales but may include inside sales activity depending on market and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business through phone outreach, personal visits, email campaigns, trade shows, professional events, and referrals.
  • Research and design solutions by working with existing and new suppliers to match customer requirements.
  • Conduct site and facility visits to evaluate communication needs and develop appropriate wireless system proposals.
  • Prepare and present proposals and budgets for internal review and formal customer presentations, clearly articulating technical and business value.
  • Develop and implement territory plans and sales strategies that drive rapid pipeline growth and territory expansion.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities and developing proposals to closing deals and post-sale follow-up.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert, articulating the value proposition of advanced wireless solutions in both technical and business terms.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, forecasts, and sales results in company CRM (Hubspot).
  • Work with credit, technical, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction from proposal through delivery.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ budgeting and funding cycles, including identifying potential grant funding or other external financing sources for large projects.
  • Provide monthly forecasts, funnel reports, and sales performance metrics to management.
  • Attend training sessions, industry events, and product briefings to stay current on evolving wireless technologies and customer trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in outside sales developing a market through strategic prospecting efforts, with demonstrated ability to close new business in the enterprise or K–12 technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of wireless and radio communication systems; familiarity with general wireless technologies and integration.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and develop funding strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using CRM and order-tracking systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory and outside the territory for training, market events, and trade shows.

Why Join Us

  • Opportunity to represent cutting-edge wireless solutions that make a tangible difference in how schools and organizations connect and communicate during emergency situations.
  • Highly collaborative and supportive team environment with strong technical backing.
  • Competitive base salary + commission, with uncapped earning potential.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
