The TWIC card is issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and verifies that the holder has passed a thorough background check. These guards provide security at ports, harbors, and other maritime locations, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access. Their responsibilities often include monitoring access points, checking credentials, and responding to security incidents.
