Job description

WGHP-TV (FOX8), the FOX affiliate serving the Piedmont Triad, is accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Broadcast Reporting Internship. This unpaid, highly competitive position is designed for college seniors seeking hands-on experience reporting and producing compelling local stories for television and digital platforms.
The internship allows one standout candidate to learn from award-winning journalists, strengthen on-air presentation skills and build a strong resume reel. Interns will learn how to write, shoot and edit reporter packages, develop enterprise story ideas, conduct interviews, report for digital and social platforms and observe how a professional newsroom operates under daily deadlines.
This internship is on site at FOX8 in High Point and requires 16 to 24 hours per week. Reliable transportation is required. Applicants must submit an on-air resume reel with their application.
