We also own the largest Telemundo Affiliate group with 47 markets and Gray Digital Media, a full-service digital agency offering national and local clients digital marketing strategies with the most advanced digital products and services. Our additional media properties include video production companies Raycom Sports, Tupelo Media Group, and PowerNation Studios, and studio production facilities Assembly Atlanta and Third Rail Studios.

About Shared Services:

Shared Services Accounting handles the accounting functions for all Gray-owned and operated TV stations.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing Accounting and Administrative services to Shared Services Accounting personnel and assisting with various accounting projects.

Job Summary/Description:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing Accounting and Administrative services to Shared Services Accounting personnel and assisting with various accounting projects.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

* Assisting with the accounting duties for one or more station locations
* Preparing and posting journal entries
* Preparing forecasting and budgeting data
* Coding and reviewing AP invoices
* Reviewing and approving expense reports
* Preparing monthly reconciliations
* Completing the monthly close process
* Working with group invoices, music and network fees, and other service agreements
* Cross-training with other accounting members for backup purposes
* Assisting with various accounting projects & analysis
* Supporting the audit request process by pulling requested documentation as needed
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Must have previous Accounting experience
* Accounting or related degree required
* Must possess strong math and computer skills
* Proficiency in Excel
* A working knowledge of accounting functions
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
