Job description

The Associate Audio Producer is responsible for creating and producing high-fidelity dynamic sound design and stereo mixes for all Feld Entertainment radio and video productions. Ensures all broadcast distribution channel standards are met or exceeded. Under the direction of the Audio Producer, in partnership with the Senior Producer and Editors, handpicks project-based music selections to present to senior leadership & business partners, ensuring choices are brand- or project-appropriate.  
Essential Job Functions
  • Enhance broadcast shows, feature segments, highlights, digital videos, PA announcements, and radio spots with sound design elements utilizing sound libraries, folio creations, location recordings, and other resources for creating high-fidelity sound design.
  • In partnership with the Audio Producer, the Associate Audio Producer will manage the operation, functionality, and technical needs of the in-house audio recording booth. Making sure all equipment functions correctly and is readily accessible at any time for on-air talent, Feld executives, and contracted actors to use for recording. 
  • Serve as backup to the Senior Audio Producer as needed, directing and/or engineering voice-over recording sessions in the in-house audio booth at Feld Entertainment Studios.
  • In Partnership with Audio Producer and Music Director, broadcast mix all TV, promo, digital, and corporate videos, as well as radio advertising spots across all Feld Entertainment Properties, adhering to network broadcast standards. 
  • When requested, will engineer all on-site voice-over recording sessions for all video and radio productions. 
 
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 yrs. experience in audio engineering, live events, or sports audio production. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Apple computer systems, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Adobe Premiere; Pro Tools Certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of professional-grade recording microphones and experience directing talent as needed for voice-over sessions.
  • Proficient in all aspects of audio engineering, including signal flow, equalization, compression, effects processing, tuning, mixing, and editing. 
  • Familiarity with digital and analog audio equipment, including microphones, preamps, MIDI controllers, audio interfaces, audio consoles, interruptible foldback, and mixing control surfaces. 
  • Display exceptional speed and efficiency editing audio with Pro Tools, with additional knowledge of Logic Pro and Ableton Live, including recording of vocals and basic rhythm tracks; multitrack editing, mixing, and mastering.  Is also aware of the broadcast plugin's support to enhance audio quality.
  • Advanced knowledge of Apple computer systems with ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues; understanding file hierarchy and management basics of networking, with ability to edit and convert audio and video file formats. 
  • Music abilities and great musicianship are a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and support others; ability to work independently to meet the needs of others when given direction.
  • Will be required to adjust hybrid schedule as directed to support in-house audio booth needs.
