Job description

The Landscaping Plant Care & Turf Applicator role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated, and enthusiastic about plant and lawn health. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining the health and beauty of client properties through integrated pest management, fertilizer application, and plant health care. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career with a dedicated and knowledgeable team.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage daily tasks based on electronic work orders.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs using specialized equipment such as plant health care trucks, ride-on spreader sprayers, and handheld tools.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products and techniques for maintaining plant health.
  • Prepare for daily operations by loading and filling spray tanks, gas cans, tools, and other necessary equipment.
  • Select, mix, and apply fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides under supervisor guidance.
  • Identify and address new plant health care issues on client properties.
  • Assist with landscape maintenance services as needed, depending on the season.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to complete services when necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task.
Qualifications
  • Category WI 3.0 and 5.0 pesticide applicator's license, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in applying fertilizers and pesticides or pest control.
  • Proficiency in tree and shrub identification.
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the plant health care, lawn care, and landscape industry.
Compensation

$23–$27 per hour, based on background and experience.
