This is an opportunity to help build Simplot's future in Michigan, not simply step into an existing territory. 

• Build and strengthen relationships with golf courses, lawn care operators, landscapers, municipalities, sports turf managers, and other turf and horticulture customers. 
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing recommendations, technical expertise, and industry insight. 
• Manage existing accounts while actively developing new business opportunities across Michigan. 
• Spend the majority of your time in the field meeting customers, visiting properties, and growing relationships. 
• Collaborate with Operations and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. 
• Help establish Simplot as a preferred partner in a competitive market. 

We're intentionally open-minded about background and years of experience. Previous sales experience is helpful, but industry knowledge and relationship-building ability are often more important. We can teach products and processes. We value people who understand our customers, can speak their language, and can build trust. Candidates may come from golf course operations, turfgrass management, lawn care, landscaping, equipment sales, agronomy, horticulture, sports turf, nursery operations, or other green industry backgrounds.

New Turf Advisors receive hands-on onboarding, ride-alongs, mentorship, and field training from experienced leaders and successful advisors. Rather than learning from a desk, you'll spend time in the field building relationships, learning the business, and gaining firsthand experience.

Success in This Role 

Successful Turf Advisors become trusted resources within the industry. They develop lasting customer relationships, identify opportunities for growth, collaborate effectively with teammates, and help establish Simplot as a preferred partner throughout Michigan. Within the first year, success means opening new accounts, creating momentum in the market, and helping expand Simplot's footprint across the state. 

Other Information 

This position is advertised statewide as Simplot continues to grow throughout Michigan, with opportunities supporting multiple regions across the state. Relocation assistance is not available.
