Job Summary 
The Greenskeeper is responsible for maintaining the golf course’s turf and landscapes to ensure optimal playability and aesthetic appeal. This role involves performing a range of tasks related to turf management, including mowing, fertilizing, and irrigation, as well as managing landscape areas around the course. The Greenskeeper executes both routine and specialized maintenance procedures to uphold the high standards of the golf course and supports the overall maintenance goals of the club.  
Reporting Structure 
    â€¢     Reports to the Equipment Manager or Superintendent  
Day to Day 
•    Mow greens, fairways, tees, and roughs to maintain proper height and playability. 
•    Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to the agronomy plan and safety guidelines. 
•    Water turf areas as needed, ensuring optimal moisture levels and adjusting irrigation systems as required. 
•    Monitor turf conditions and identify issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, taking corrective actions as needed. 
•    Safely operate powered equipment, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers. 
•    Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure proper functioning. 
•    Keep all equipment clean, well-maintained, and stored appropriately. 
•    Maintain and enhance landscaping around the clubhouse, including flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees. 
•    Trim and prune trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and aesthetics. 
•    Prepare soil beds, lay sod, and plant new vegetation as directed. 
•    Keep all areas of the golf course, including pathways, bunkers, and water hazards, free of debris and in good condition. 
•    Assist in the construction and maintenance of new features on the golf course, such as greens, tees, and bunkers. 
•    Ensure that daily tasks and assignments are completed to meet club standards and quality expectations. 
Additional Duties 
•    Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.   
•    Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.  
•    Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff. 
•    Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same. 
•    Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role. 
•    Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations. 
•    Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success. 
About You
Required 
•    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.  
Preferred 
•    Prior knowledge in landscape management, greenhouse operations, or groundskeeping maintenance preferred.  
Physical Requirements 
•    Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity. 
•    Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing.

•    Construction tools (shovels, axes, sledgehammers, etc.) 
•    Gardening tools (pruners, rakes, hedge shears, trimmers, etc.) 
•    Blowers 
•    Grass Mowers 
•    Tractors 
•    Cup Cutter 
Work Schedule 
•    Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.   
•    Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
