Job Title: Landscape TechnicianJob Description

The Landscape Technician applies lawn care and pest control treatments, operates and maintains application equipment, and delivers high-quality service to residential and commercial customers. This role combines hands-on outdoor work with customer interaction, requiring attention to detail, safe work practices, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers, weed control products, and pest control treatments in accordance with company standards and state regulations.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment such as spreaders, sprayers, and company vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect lawns and landscapes to diagnose turf, weed, and pest issues and recommend appropriate treatment solutions.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about services performed, treatment results, and future service recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely service records, including materials used, treatments applied, and site conditions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines when handling and applying products and operating equipment.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service and represent the company in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Perform general labor and landscaping tasks as needed to support overall service delivery.
  • Assist with basic construction-related landscape tasks when required, such as site preparation or installation support.
Essential Skills
  • Experience or aptitude in general labor, landscaping, or related outdoor work.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment such as spreaders, sprayers, and vehicles.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license, with training support provided.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow company procedures and state regulations.

  • Background in construction or landscape construction tasks is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Peter, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
