Job description

Who We Are

Founded in 1983, Colorado Golf & Turf has built a reputation as one of the region's most trusted names in golf and turf equipment. As the exclusive Club Car fleet distributor for Colorado, we specialize in the sales, service, rental, and support of golf carts, utility vehicles, and professional turf maintenance equipment.

Position Summary

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a wide range of equipment, including golf carts, utility vehicles, commercial and residential sized mowers, greens rollers, and more.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, working independently, and taking pride in quality workmanship. Every day brings something different, making this a great fit for technicians who enjoy variety and problem-solving.

Candidates must provide their own professional-grade tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues on golf and turf equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and new equipment setup
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and repair recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors, managers, and teammates
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Experience in small engine repair, automotive repair, powersports, diesel, or heavy equipment maintenance preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Basic electrical diagnostic skills preferred
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to lift heavy components and work in physically demanding positions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must provide a professional tool set suitable for daily technician work

Why Join Us?

Many of our technicians come from the automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment industries looking for a healthier long-term career path with less burnout and more balance.

Compared to many traditional technician environments, our work is generally:

  • Less physically demanding than heavy equipment or automotive repair
  • Lower stress and more team-oriented
  • More predictable and stable
  • Focused on quality workmanship instead of rushed flat-rate production

We offer a transparent hourly pay structure with no flat-rate system, which means:

  • Consistent and dependable paychecks
  • No fighting over labor hours or repair tickets
  • A collaborative team culture instead of internal competition
  • The ability to focus on doing the job correctly

Entry-level technicians typically start around $22/hour, with experienced technicians earning significantly more based on experience, skill set, certifications, and leadership ability.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive hourly compensation
  • Health and dental insurance
  • HSA with employer contributions
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • Ongoing training and growth opportunities
  • Supportive leadership and team environment
  • Stable, established company with long-term career opportunities
