Position Overview:

Commercial equipment mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of turf and commercial grade equipment used in the golf, sports field and grounds industry. They play a critical role in upholding our reputation for exceeding our customersโ€™ expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

ยท Accurately test, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures on hydraulics, electrical systems, and gasoline and diesel engines on a variety of commercial turf equipment such as Toro and Ventrac

ยท Perform scheduled inspections, maintenance- including change oil, hydraulic fluid and all necessary filters and fluids

ยท Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics

ยท Document issues in a clear and concise manner, showing cause for failure and correction

ยท Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment serviced

ยท Participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge

ยท Perform all duties in a professional and safe manner


Required Qualifications:

ยท Mechanics (technicians) with a minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience working on golf course, turf equipment or heavy diesel equipment

ยท Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems

ยท Must have the ability to read, interpret and understand schematics

ยท Must be able to perform diagnostic tests to identify and rebuild/repair malfunctions on all equipment

ยท Certifications from Kohler, Toro, Briggs and Stratton are a plus

ยท Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic problems

ยท Must have the ability to read and analyze documents and procedure manuals

ยท Must be able to routinely lift up to 75 pounds

ยท High school diploma or equivalent required
