Job Posting: Fraud Analyst, Senior


Must be a U.S. Citizen.


Location: Washington, DC (SEC Headquarters)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; minimum two on-site days between Monday and Thursday

Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt unless otherwise classified at offer

Contract: U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, iPASS 2.0, Division of Enforcement — ITSI is a subcontractor

About the Role

ITSI International Turbo Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fraud Analyst, Senior to support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement under the iPASS 2.0 program. This role actively supports ongoing investigations by analyzing trade blotters, financial documents, phone records, social media accounts, cryptocurrency data, and other data types in support of federal enforcement matters.


Duties and Responsibilities

 Support investigations, performing standardized analyses or creating custom analyses as needed.

  • Work across multiple dataset types and solutions, applying general knowledge of financial and securities markets and typical fraud schemes.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the project team and Federal Team Lead/Manager to monitor case progress and assignments.
  • Perform research to locate potential people of interest and associates.
  • Develop and execute analytical workflows supporting investigations, including phone record analyses, funds-flow analyses, social media searches, and case chronologies.
  • Support crypto-related investigations using industry-standard chain-analysis and open-source tools.
  • Conduct in-house, telephone, and database research.
  • Assist in preparing interim and final deliverables and recommendations to the case team.
  • Oversee the efforts of project staff and be responsible for the work of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Train and advise project staff on differing skills and analysis techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, finance, accounting, or similar), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of recent experience as a Fraud Analyst or Financial Investigator.
  • Ability to provide a favorable credit history as a condition of employment (see Contingencies below).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite (including VBA), web browsers, and Adobe Acrobat; proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and/or SAS preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formula-based analysis.
  •  Experience interpreting large datasets for trends, patterns, and associations, and preparing summarized or detailed findings for review.
  • Experience with fraud analysis and open-source tools such as Palantir, LexisNexis, Westlaw, CLEAR, ATLAS, Recommind, Reactor, Etherscan.io, Bscscan.com, or similar preferred.
  • Knowledge of public information repositories, e-discovery procedures, and related resources.
  • Ability to teach, train, and oversee project staff and take responsibility for work assigned to a specific job.
  •  Knowledge of specialized analytical and data visualization tools.
  •  Strong organizational skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure with high attention to detail.
  •  Ability to work independently on high-visibility programs.
  •  High level of professional ethics and integrity; strong team player.
  • Knowledge and skill in litigation support, document analysis, and forensic accounting preferred.


Contingencies and Compliance Requirements

This position supports a U.S. federal government contract. Employment is contingent upon:

  • Favorable results of a credit history review and any additional suitability screening required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Completion of required onboarding, badging, and system-access approvals prior to any start of work — no work may begin before these are complete.
  • Execution of a formal non-disclosure agreement prior to any system or data access.
