Job description

Position Description
Reviews and evaluates student academic records to determine eligibility for admission to online undergrad and graduate programs. Collaborates with prospective students to guide them through the application process and ensure understanding of admission requirements. Conducts weekly orientations for newly admitted students to support their transition, guiding them in navigating Texas Tech University student platforms and completing admission requirements. Communicates with academic departments as needed throughout the application process to provide updates, relay information, and address departmental inquiries.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Walk potential new TTU Online graduate students though the application process.
  • Meet with potential new TTU Online graduate students to discuss possible degree options that align with their bachelor's degree and intended career pathway.
  • Help students with next steps including activating TTU student systems, connecting to Graduate Online Student Advocates, Financial Aid Advising, and Enrollment in Online Micro-credential.
  • Work with campus resources for immediate student needs.
  • Assist and meet with student through admission process up until student is admitted into program.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in recruitment or admissions desirable.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
  • Public Relations experience.
  • Experience in graduate level recruitment, admissions, or enrollment services
  • Public relations or student-facing service experience

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
