What is a TTC cleaning?

TTC Cleaning jobs involve maintaining cleanliness and sanitation on Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) vehicles, stations, and facilities. Workers perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and removing litter to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. These positions are essential for public health and safety, especially in high-traffic areas. Employees may work various shifts, including nights and weekends, and must follow strict cleaning protocols and guidelines set by the TTC.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a TTC cleaner?

To thrive as a TTC Cleaner, you need knowledge of cleaning procedures, safe chemical handling, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and adherence to safety protocols are commonly required, and some roles may require WHMIS certification.
