POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Services Technician supports the coordination, execution, and operational effectiveness of TSC Jacobs field service operations. This role serves as a critical link between field technicians, service management, customers, and internal operations, ensuring service delivery is efficient, compliant, well-coordinated, and customer-focused. The Field Services Technician plays a key role in scheduling, logistics, documentation, communication, and process execution that enable high-performing field operations. This position blends operational coordination, customer engagement, and technical service support in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
KEY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Field Operations Coordination
โ€ข Support scheduling, dispatching, and daily coordination of field service technicians
โ€ข Assist with job planning, routing, and logistics to optimize service delivery and
response times
โ€ข Serve as a communication bridge between field teams, customers, and internal
stakeholders
Service Delivery Support
โ€ข Support execution of service calls, maintenance programs, emergency responses,
and project work
โ€ข Track work orders, service tickets, and job documentation
โ€ข Ensure service activities align with safety standards, quality requirements, and
operational procedures
Customer Communication & Experience
โ€ข Coordinate customer communications related to scheduling, service updates, and
job completion
โ€ข Support issue resolution and service follow-up
โ€ข Maintain strong service relationships with municipal, commercial, and industrial customers
Documentation, Compliance & Systems
โ€ข Maintain accurate service records, work orders, reports, and documentation
โ€ข Support compliance with safety, regulatory, and internal operational standards
โ€ข Assist with data entry and integrity across service management systems
Inventory, Equipment & Logistics Support
โ€ข Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment availability for field teams
โ€ข Support inventory tracking, staging, and replenishment processes
โ€ข Assist with vehicle, equipment, and asset coordination
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
โ€ข Support continuous improvement initiatives across field operations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent required
โ€ข Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Technical Services, or a related field (preferred)
Experience
โ€ข 2-5 years of experience in field services coordination, operations support, dispatch, or service operations
โ€ข Experience in industrial services, mechanical services, utilities, construction, infrastructure, or technical service environments preferred
