SUMMARY OVERVIEWย ย ย 

The Operations Agent is a dynamic role focused on managing and overseeing daily airport operations. This position involves coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient airport functioning, including monitoring flight schedules, managing gate assignments, and overseeing baggage handling activities. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations, and promptly addressing any operational issues or emergencies. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with airline staff, airport personnel, and external agencies to maintain operational excellence and passenger satisfaction.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIESย ย 

  • Coordinate daily operational activities within the airportย 
  • Monitor and manage flight schedules, gate assignments, and airport resourcesย 
  • Liaise with airline representatives, ground crew, and air traffic controlย 
  • Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and safety standardsย 
  • Respond to operational issues and emergencies promptlyย 
  • Provide timely information to staff and passengers regarding flight status and operational changesย 
  • Manage passenger boarding and disembarking processesย 
  • Oversee baggage handling and resolve any baggage-related issuesย 
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for aircraft and facility upkeepย 
  • Assist in implementing emergency response plans and protocolsย 
  • Monitor weather conditions and their impact on flight operationsย 
  • Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and logsย 
  • Facilitate communication between different airport departmentsย 
  • Participate in training and development programs related to airport operationsย

QUALIFICATIONSย ย ย 

  • 18 years of age or olderย 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.ย 
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)ย 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in airport operations or a related fieldย 
  • Strong understanding of airport operations and safety regulationsย 
  • Proficiency in using airport management software and systemsย 
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including theย useย ofย electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devicesย 
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansย 
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).ย 
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysย ย
