As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report concerns promptly. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government military and naval affairs location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
