Job Summary: The Trust Administrator provides essential support in the administration of personal and institutional trust and investment accounts, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality client service. Directly supporting and working closely with Trust Advisors, this role manages a wide range of administrative, operational, and client service functions that uphold fiduciary responsibilities and regulatory standards. The Trust Administrator collaborates with internal teams and external partners to maintain account workflows, resolve inquiries, and enhance the client experience. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUSTโ€™s Character Qualities.


Essential Functions: All expectations described in the job descriptionโ€™s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.



  • Provide administrative support to Trust Advisors in managing personal and institutional trust and investment accounts.

  • Maintain and update trust account records, process account openings, distributions, and terminations.

  • Coordinate account workflows and monitor key deadlines to ensure timely and compliant service.

  • Execute fiduciary responsibilities including discretionary distributions, asset oversight, and account maintenance.

  • Process daily transactions such as cash movements, bill payments, and asset transfers.

  • Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Draft correspondence and prepare reports, presentations, and client meeting materials.

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Investments, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to resolve client issues.

  • Maintain relationships with external contacts including attorneys, CPAs, and assisted-living facilities.

  • Apply knowledge of trust and estate concepts including relevant laws and investment strategies.

  • Assist with tax documentation, valuations, and regulatory filings.

  • Monitor account activity for compliance with trust provisions, applicable laws, and internal policies.

  • Support account reviews, audits, and documentation of fiduciary decisions.

  • Identify and escalated potential compliance or risk issues to Trust Advisors or management.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and provide backup support to other Trust Administrators as needed.


Education and Experience: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in trust administration, wealth management, or investment services preferred. Familiarity with trust principles, investment management, and estate planning concepts is highly desirable.


Required Skills and Knowledge: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong client service orientation. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and trust accounting systems (e.g., SEI, FIS, or similar). Foundational knowledge of fiduciary principles, trust structures, and estate planning concepts.


Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Any industry designations specific to the Wealth Management business is a plus.


Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.


Working Conditions: Normal office conditions.
