Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week at our Madison, WI or Brookfield office

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Private Wealth Specialist Team Lead to lead our team of Private Wealth Relationship Specialists. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team management, workflow oversight, and direct support of client service activities. As a player-coach, you will help ensure our clients receive a seamless, high-touch experience while empowering your team to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.

In this role, you will serve as the central point of leadership for relationship support, client onboarding coordination, trust administration support, workflow management, and service execution. You will work closely with Advisors, Relationship Managers, Operations, and Trust leadership to ensure client needs are met accurately, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to quality.

Essential Responsibilities of the Private Wealth Specialist Team Lead:

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of Client Relationship Specialists supporting Private Wealth clients.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, development, and career growth.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, prioritize workloads, and serve as a subject matter expert for client service and operational processes.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Drive an Exceptional Client Experience

  • Foster a culture of proactive, responsive, and relationship-focused client service.
  • Establish and monitor service standards for communication, responsiveness, follow-through, and issue resolution.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex service requests and client concerns.
  • Partner with Advisors and Relationship Managers to ensure a consistent experience throughout the client lifecycle.

Oversee Workflow Management and Service Delivery

  • Ensure client requests and service activities are accurately assigned, managed, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee critical activities including client onboarding, account servicing, meeting coordination, CRM maintenance, documentation collection, and client communications.
  • Monitor workflow capacity, service levels, and aging requests to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct quality reviews and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance efficiency.

Partner on Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Trust Operations & Support on departmental priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with capacity planning, workflow optimization, training programs, staffing recommendations, and performance reporting.
  • Help establish best practices, document procedures, and implement service standards that support long-term growth and scalability.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Private wealth, trust, or Private banking
  • Prior experience providing training, coaching or information leadership within a team environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to improve processes, manage workflows, and drive operational excellence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.
  • Experience within wealth management, trust administration, banking, financial services, or a related professional services environment is preferred.
