Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Join a well-established, collegial law firm with over 80 years of combined attorney experience and a growing Estates and Trusts Practice Group that is actively expanding
  • Enjoy true flexibility — work primarily from home or the Arlington, VA office, with no requirement to commute to Annapolis
  • Handle meaningful, client-centered work across the full spectrum of estate planning and trust and estate administration — from initial consultation through closing

  • Earn a competitive salary commensurate with your experience, plus eligibility for bonuses
  • Receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, and life insurance

Location: This is a flexible, primarily remote-friendly role for Virginia-based candidates near the Arlington, VA area. An Arlington office is available for client meetings and collaboration, and no regular travel to our Annapolis office is required — giving you the autonomy of remote work with the grounding of a professional home base.

Note: Candidates must hold an active Virginia Bar license and have direct experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration. Candidates must also be located near Arlington, VA to support client meetings. Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Meet with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives tailored to their goals and family dynamics
  • Review and analyze client financial and asset information to develop thoughtful, personalized planning recommendations
  • Oversee and coordinate the drafting and execution of estate planning documents in partnership with paralegals and support staff
  • Guide fiduciaries through the full estate and trust administration process, from initial intake through final closing

  • Experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration (required)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a client-first approach
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines with precision and sound judgment
  • Collaborative, professional demeanor and comfort working alongside attorneys and staff
  • Familiarity with practice management software a plus
  • Must be located near Arlington, VA to support in-person client meetings
