We work closely with clients on post-closing matters including LLC entity setup, land trusts (revocable living trusts), and deed transfers.

Location/State Requirements:
 We are currently ONLY looking for contract attorneys in certain states. Please feel free to make an application if you are a licensed attorney in the following states:

  • Oregon (OR), Missouri (MO), South Carolina (SC), New Hampshire (NH), Georgia (GA), Indiana (IN), Michigan (MI), New Jersey (NJ), Ohio (OH), Utah (UT), Tennessee (TN)
Compensation:
  • Negotiable Hourly Rate: Legacy is highly motivated to start working with the right attorneys. Hourly services are paid prior to project-based engagements for legal template production.
    • $125/hr approximately 
  • After initial engagement at an hourly rate, Legacy offers flat-rate engagements on a project by project basis. (e.g., estimated $500 per project for 3-4 hours of work).
  • Timezone/Working Hrs: 
    • Timezone: based on US location
    • Typically a 1 week turnaround per project
  • Structure
    • 1099 Contract role with Legacy as Payor; no benefits or payroll; contracted counsel will submit invoices electronically and be promptly paid. 
Outcome/Main Mission:

Legacy is looking for skilled real estate attorneys, business and asset protection lawyers to assist on engagements involving post-closing residential transactions where land trusts or an LLC holds legal title. The work is flexible and designed to match your expertise and preferred style of engagement

  • Drafting and reviewing documents including:
    • Land Trust Agreement
    • General Warranty Deed
    • LLC Operating Agreement
    • Assignment of Beneficial Interest
  • Reviewing and assessing client's needs (with assistance from LBS team)
  • Confirming County requirements for deed recordation 
    • Note: Our team does the recordation, not you
  • Direct client engagement; willingness to consult with the client for up to 1 hour upon request
  • Adhere to deadlines and provides updates on workflows


  • Licensed Attorney in one of the given states
  • Residential real estate experience
  • Deed preparation experience
  • Experience drafting basic LLC Operating Agreements
