Job description

Truss Assembler

Build Something You’re Proud Of. Work Where Others Vacation.

Join our team at Garfield Truss and help build the backbone of beautiful homes, cabins, and commercial buildings. As a Truss Assembler, you’ll work with your hands, learn valuable skills, and be part of a crew that takes pride in building high-quality floor and roof trusses.

We’re located in the heart of Minnesota’s lake region — so you can live the cabin life every day, not just on weekends.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assemble wood trusses for floors and roofs using engineered drawings

  • Work with your team to ensure accurate measurements and strong builds

  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after assembly

  • Help keep our shop clean, safe, and organized

Who You Are

  • A hands-on worker who likes building and creating

  • Comfortable using tools and learning new equipment

  • Detail-oriented — you like doing things right the first time

  • A team player who shows up on time and works hard

Experience in carpentry, framing, or manufacturing is a plus — but we’ll train the right people.

Growth Beyond the Job

Garfield Truss is part of a growing family of manufacturing companies. We believe in developing talented people and creating opportunities for them to grow as our organization grows.

Team members will have opportunities to learn new skills through cross-training, gain experience in different areas of our operation, and take on increasing levels of responsibility. We promote from within whenever possible.

Exceptional employees may also have opportunities beyond Garfield Truss. As our parent company continues to expand its manufacturing operations—and explores opportunities in other industries—high-performing team members may be considered for leadership, technical, operational, or management roles across our organization. We are committed to investing in people who demonstrate character, initiative, and a desire to grow with us.

We're not just building trusses. We're building companies, and we're looking for people who want to help build something that lasts.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Generous PTO plan – Enjoy time off and long weekends

  • 401(k) match – We help you plan for the future

  • 4 day work week – 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.

  • Comprehensive health and ancillary benefits – Coverage that supports you and your family

  • Values-driven culture – We do what’s right, treat people with respect, and take pride in our work

  • Beautiful location – Live and work in Minnesota’s lake country, where the cabin lifestyle is part of everyday life

If you want a stable, rewarding job where your work makes a visible impact — and you can enjoy lake life without the commute — we’d love to meet you. Apply today!
