Ready to suit up as a Truck Gate Security Officer?
We are seeking a reliable and professional Truck Gate Security Guard to control access at our warehouse facility. This position is responsible for monitoring all truck traffic entering and exiting the property, verifying driver credentials and documentation, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company assets.
As a Truck Gate Security Officer, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people on all shifts, in environments such as office towers, hotels, shopping centers, etc.

Responsibilities of a Truck Gate Security Guard
  • Control access at the truck entrance gate.
  • Verify driver identification, bills of lading, delivery paperwork, and appointments as required.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks in accordance with company procedures.
  • Direct drivers to the appropriate loading or unloading docks.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all vehicle entries and exits.
  • Monitor the gate area using surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, safety hazards, or security incidents immediately.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and drivers.
  • Perform routine perimeter patrols as assigned.
  • Enforce company security policies and visitor procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established incident reporting procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with drivers, visitors, and employees.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous security, gate attendant, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Valid security license (if required by state or local regulations).
  • Strong observation and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Basic computer skills for logging entries and preparing reports.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
