Position Summary

Under the direction of the Gate Operations Support Supervisor, the Guard Gate Operator's main task is to:

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Control the Ingress and Egress of traffic at gates.
  • Use Weigh Tronix WI127 to scale in trucks.
  • Daily review of Bulk/Production Schedule and printing out paperwork for all departments.
  • Check in/out trucks and visitors using internal system.
  • Stage trucks/visitors in designated parking area and have them wait to be called.
  • Perform truck inspections for all trucks upon arrival. Pull samples if required.
  • Perform the task of opening the gates when emergency is in effect.
  • Scan inbound paperwork and finished paperwork.
  • Receive Empty Drums/Totes trailers.
  • Perform truck inspections upon exit.
  • Verify all paperwork from the CSR to the truck paperwork and schedule.
  • Perform plant cleanup standards tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday.

  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • High School Graduate or GED desired but not required.
  • Work Experience:
  • Two years of experience preferred
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Have general knowledge of plant safety rules
  • Be ready and willing to receive standard training
  • Must be able to read and interpret an MSDS, also know the location of the MSDS book
  • Must be able to read and interpret COA’s and BOL’s.
  • Knowledge of our quality policy and objectives
  • Learn basic product identification
  • Must have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • The team member is occasionally required to sit.
