Job description

Micro-Tronics is seeking a Press Operator (1st Shift) to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate molding equipment to produce high-quality rubber components in a manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who is mechanically inclined and detail-oriented. You will be responsible for ensuring parts meet quality standards while supporting safe and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate rubber molding equipment following work instructions and process guidelines
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, snap gauges, etc.)
  • Visually inspect parts and identify non-conforming products
  • Ensure proper use of materials, including adhesives and primers within shelf-life requirements
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities and inspection results
  • Complete job routers, travelers, and required documentation accurately
  • Maintain proper lot control and traceability of materials and parts
  • Clean and package finished products to prevent damage
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (5S standards)
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues
  • Work with leads and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve quality or process issues
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience (precision or rubber molding preferred)
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize visual defects and quality issues

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
