Job description

POSITION

The Scope Society of Alberta is seeking a full-time Triple P Practitioner with experience providing support to families raising children with special needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be working directly with parents/guardians remotely (over phone or Microsoft Teams) providing strategies to assist families in reaching their behavioural and developmentalgoals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Work directly with approximately 18 families each week over phone or Microsoft Teams.
  • Gather individualized and comprehensive information on each client served.
  • Facilitate delivery of curriculum-based Triple P programs with parents/caregivers.
  • Help parents/caregivers identify strategies that fit their needs and thereby increase their competence and confidence.
  • Deliver assessment results, review tracking and causes of behavior.
  • Complete administrative tasks according to required procedures.
  • Ensure client files are accurate and current.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, reflective practices, wellness meetings, team building activities and external meetings.
  • Support other team members by sharing resources, information, ideas, and projects as needed.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals.
  • This position requires the ability to work flextime.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services (Community Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline), and a minimum of two years experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Triple P is an accredited position requiring specialized training which will be provided.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
