Job description

About the Role

Mortgage Loan Processor - Loan Partner II/Client Concierge

We're hiring an experienced Loan Partner II to take ownership of our files from contract to close. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role. Not a back-office processing seat. From the moment a file goes under contract until it funds, you are the engine driving it forward and the voice keeping borrowers confident and up to date every step of the way.

If you've spent the last several years processing loans and you've quietly thought, "I could run this seat better than anyone", this is your seat. You'll work directly with a top-producing branch manager, on modern systems, with defined processes and a team that has each other's backs.

What You'll Do

  • Take files from the contract through clear-to-close in Encompass. Running DU/LP, calculating income, ordering third-party items, and clearing underwriting conditions
  • Own all client communication during the loan process. Welcome handoffs, weekly status updates, and proactive responses to every inbound call/text/email for a borrower in the pipeline.
  • Coordinate the closing: CD review, final figures, scheduling with title, and post-close handoff
  • Maintain a clean, current pipeline in Encompass and our CRM, and ensure full compliance with TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and TILA on every file
  • Deliver the WOW experience that defines our brand.

What We're Looking For

  • 3โ€“5+ years of recent mortgage loan processing experience (required)
  • Hands-on experience processing Conventional, FHA, and VA loans
  • Proficiency in Encompass or a comparable LOS
  • Strong income calculation skills, including self-employed borrowers
  • Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and TILA
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable on the phone with borrowers, agents, and underwriters
  • Available to work in the office in New Orleans. Possible Hybrid Role.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary (discussed at interview), full benefits, direct mentorship from a top-producing branch manager, and a seat with a high-performing team in a healthy New Orleans market. The Mortgage Firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned loan files from contract to close in Encompass โ€” including running DU/LP, structuring files, ordering third-party items (appraisal, title, VOEs, condo docs, hazard, payoffs), and clearing all underwriting conditions to clear to close
  • Calculate borrower income across all scenarios, including W-2, self-employed, K-1, rental, variable, bonus, and commission income
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers during the loan process โ€” sending the initial welcome handoff, providing weekly status updates, and responding to all inbound communication
  • Draft Letters of Explanation, chase borrower documents to keep the file moving and fully transparent
  • Coordinate the closing process โ€” including CD review, final figures, scheduling with the title company, and the post-close handoff
  • Maintain a clean, current pipeline in Encompass and our CRM, hitting published turn times and proactively flagging at-risk files to the Loan Officer
  • Ensure full compliance with TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and TILA on every file โ€” accurate disclosures delivered on time, every time

Qualifications:
  • 3โ€“5+ years of recent mortgage loan processing experience (required)
  • Hands-on experience processing Conventional, FHA, and VA loans from submission through clear-to-close
  • Proficiency in Encompass or a comparable loan origination system, including running DU/LP and managing files through all milestones
  • Strong income calculation skills across W-2, self-employed, K-1, rental, and variable income scenarios
  • Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and TILA compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills โ€” comfortable speaking directly with borrowers, agents, and underwriters
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; available to work in the office in New Orleans

About Company

A Top-producing New Orleans branch, backed by a nationally recognized lender. We combine the resources and product mix of a major company with the agility and personal touch of a tight-knit local team.

We don't just close loans, we deliver an experience that turns clients into lifelong referral sources and agents into loyal partners. Our team operates on a few non-negotiable principles: extreme ownership, proactive communication, and zero dropped balls.

Led by a hands-on, top-producing branch manager, our operation runs on systems and standards rather than chaos and hustle.

If you want to be part of a high-performing, well-organized team where your work is visible, and excellence is the shared standard, you'll fit right in.
