Senior Financial Analyst

Overview System One is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will partner with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to provide financial analysis and insights supporting purchasing, cost management, forecasting, and business decisions. This role focuses on direct material costs, procurement performance, cost reduction initiatives, and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams on purchasing and cost management decisions.
  • Analyze direct material spend, purchase price variances, and cost trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close related to procurement and material costs.
  • Prepare financial reporting comparing actuals vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Track cost reduction initiatives and report on realized savings.
  • Identify financial discrepancies and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
  • Improve financial reporting processes, data accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations to support business and strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Manufacturing or Supply Chain/Procurement experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and translate financial information into business insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting and data analysis tools.
