Job description

Trail Monitor - Openings for 2026 season
Available shifts include weekday and weekend hours during general admission hours and group visits (Hours vary depending on day of week). Hours will be fewer, and more dependent on group visits in the Spring and Fall. In the Summer, full-time hours are available, and schedules are much more flexible. Multiple positions are available.
Overview:
Trail Monitors are the eyes and ears of the TreeTop Adventures Course. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of all TreeTop Adventures guests as well as provide assistance on the trails and guidance where needed. It is the duty of the Trail Monitor to ensure that each guest has an enjoyable, memorable, and safe experience. Starting wage is $18/hour.
Trail Monitor Position Details/Duties:
  • Greet guests and provide general Park information and direction
  • Harness guests as well as deliver instructional safety briefings and gear demonstrations
  • Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the Park trails and bridges, ensuring that guests are using equipment properly and safely
  • Provide assistance to guests on the trails as needed
  • Ensure guests are comfortably and competently able to access age/skill appropriate courses
  • Perform daily course inspections and equipment checks
  • Assist with event coordination when needed
Requirements:
  • Must meet the following physical requirements:
  • Must be comfortable working at heights up to 65 feet
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Should be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time
  • Ideal candidates will have flexible weekday and weekend availability
  • Must possess a friendly disposition and professional demeanor at all times
  • Should be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time
  • Must have a passion for working outdoors and be able to work effectively in all weather conditions
  • Must be reliable with strong work ethic and personal integrity
  • Must be able to quickly and competently pick up new skill sets both in training and on the job while maintaining the highest quality standards of performance
  • Must have strong communication skills and a kind, patient approach to working with people
  • Must have excellent verbal presentation skills, comfortable with public speaking and providing regular presentations to groups of up to 30 people throughout the day
  • Must be positive person with a good attitude-smiles are a must!
  • Candidates should have some work experience
  • Climbing experience preferred, but not required
  • There is a mandatory paid training session required for all candidates
  • Candidates must be 18 yrs. or older
  • Reliable transportation required; must live within 30 minutes of Canton, MA

Schedule: This is a seasonal position. Candidates should have a flexible schedule with both weekday/evening and weekend availability. We are open 7 days a week from Mid-June through Labor Day. From April-Mid June and Labor Day-Mid November we are open to Groups on Weekdays by Appointment and Open to the General Public on weekends and holidays. Candidates with flexible schedules and a lot of availability will be highly preferred.
Applicants must be able to work at least 2 of 3 Labor Day weekend Days.
We cannot guarantee full-time hours in the Spring & Fall due to Group booking changes, weather, etc. However, we are flexible and encourage applicants to have second jobs, night classes, etc.

TreeTop Adventures is a high ropes and obstacle course located just 30 minutes south of Boston in Canton, MA. Our 10 trails range in difficulty level from beginner to expert and consist of obstacles like rolling logs, bridges, ladders, tight ropes, zip-lines and more!Our trails are built for climbers ages 7 and up. Every age and fitness level will find trails that are both challenging and achievable. The experience is safe, fun and most importantly exciting!
