Job description

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a close-knit crew, and taking pride in a hard day’s work? We're hiring a Groundsman to join our experienced team at C. S. Flournoy, a trusted and growing tree service business with over 35 years in the industry.
If you’re someone who shows up on time, puts in honest work, and wants to grow with a team that values consistency and effort — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
  • Support climbers and crew by managing ropes and lowering limbs safely
  • Drag brush and feed limbs into the chipper
  • Cut logs and brush with a chainsaw
  • Maintain a clean, safe job site (cleaning up wood, tools, and debris)
  • Assist in loading tools, setting up traffic cones, and preparing the work zone
  • Help maintain and inspect equipment as needed
What We’re Looking For:
  • Must be dependable and show up on time consistently
  • Must consistently wear personal protective equipment and follow strict safety protocols
  • Able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all weather
  • Comfortable working around chainsaws, woodchippers, and heavy machinery
  • Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
  • Good communication and a safety-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

  • Driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
  • Experience driving trucks and trailers
  • Previous experience in tree work, landscaping, or construction
  • Familiarity with chainsaws, ropes, or chipper equipment
  • CDL, pesticide license, or line clearance experience are bonuses
