Pay Range: $19.42 - $21.80 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Work Schedule: 4 day workweek: Monday - Thursday
Summer Schedule: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Winter Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate a transit/level to set grade for paving forms, establish sub-grade, and set grade pens for the finished concrete grade.
- Assist survey crew in setting and maintaining sensor line to accurate alignment/grade for the excavation and slipform paving teams.
- Set forms for alleys, streets, driveways, sidewalks, ADA ramps, inlets, curbs, and concrete structure improvements.
- Efficient skill sets to operate a ten-foot bump cutter/paver straightedge for cutting, filling, and scraping freshly poured concrete pavement to improve roughness and rideability.
- Smooth, shape, and freestyle concrete curbs behind screed and slipform pavers.
- Place and finish concrete to correct grade to ensure proper drainage and smooth ride quality that adheres to all City, State, and Federal Standards.
- Perform the following tasks independently and as a team member: place and tie rebar, remove paving forms, clean debris, backfill pavement, place, roll, and water sod.
- Operate equipment such as a front-end loader, industrial box blade/loader, skid steer loader and backhoe loader in addition to a variety of power tools such as a hammer drill, and ski saw.
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspection reports, including service and maintenance equipment and vehicles.
- Attend all required safety training/meetings and obey all safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect the worksite to ensure all traffic control devices are in place, clean, and in good working condition.
- Load and deliver traffic control devices for high water events including, placement for road closures/monitoring water levels
- Perform final cleanup from weather events to ensure alleys and streets are passable for emergency vehicles, including tree and debris removal, as well as all other general cleanups.
- Respond to weather events and emergencies including, working shift schedules when required.
- Other unlisted duties will be required.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- 18 months' experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more several times daily
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentThe incumbent works in a field environment; outside in extreme hot/ cold, wet weather, and noisy conditions. Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds or more several times daily.
