Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our administrative team. This role is essential in helping patients understand their treatment options, navigate insurance benefits, and confidently move forward with care.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of dental experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide patients through treatment planning and financial discussions with professionalism and empathy.

Experience with Dentrix is required. Familiarity with the DentiCon platform is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the dentist to present and clearly explain treatment plans to patients
  • Educate patients on treatment options, benefits, risks, and associated costs
  • Coordinate patient scheduling to ensure smooth and efficient treatment flow
  • Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding claims or billing issues
  • Explain insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and financial arrangements to patients
  • Present payment plans and financing options with clarity and confidence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and insurance information in Dentrix
  • Collaborate closely with front office, assistants, and clinical team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Conduct follow-up communication regarding treatment acceptance, upcoming appointments, and post-treatment care

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a dental office setting (Treatment Coordinator experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes
  • Experience with Dentrix required
  • Familiarity with DentiCon preferred
  • Excellent communication and patient relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Ability to explain complex treatment and financial information in a clear, compassionate way
  • Professional, positive attitude with a strong commitment to patient care
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (additional dental administration training a plus)
