Job description

TowneBank is a relationship and friendship driven local bank focused on basic human values that will serve to create a warm sense of belonging and financial well-being among our family of members. We are seeking a Treasury Management Advisor II (TMA) that will be responsible for driving Treasury services revenue by helping our members meet their holistic Cash Management needs. Cash management includes Treasury services, Card, and other services related to the member's working capital needs. Responsible for partnering with front line bankers to consult with existing members, expand existing relationships and assist in helping bring new members to the bank. This position is vital to ensuring exquisite member service while providing Treasury solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support TowneBank Banking Officers by attending business calls to evaluate the company's deposit service needs. Maintain communication with TowneBank Banking Officer's throughout the entire sales/implementation process.
  • Ability to do a deep dive needs assessment to gather information about current receivables and payables process and operations to develop a strategic approach for how TowneBank treasury services can address their needs.
  • Deliver relevant credit information to the appropriate area for risk assessment and obtain approval.
  • Understand the marketplace and the competition to make sure we leverage that detail as part of the member conversations along with the proposal.
  • Prepare and create presentations, deliver proposals, contracts, and service agreements for all Treasury services on behalf of TowneBank Treasury.
  • Work with bank partners and marketing to prepare and respond to RFPs.
  • Perform all appropriate setup functions, file testing, equipment delivery, and scheduling of training for Treasury services.
  • Follow up to ensure company satisfaction and direct members to ongoing servicing and support areas within TowneBank.
  • Conduct relationship reviews with the company and meet with TowneBank officers as needed to provide recommendations and enhancements for Treasury opportunities.
  • Conduct 1:1s with bank partners and meet with Regional Presidents to set expectations and achieve goals.
  • Make recommendations on the profitability of fees for Treasury opportunities
  • Be a driver in finding new business and bring in those new relationships through Treasury services.
  • Work to help your other lines of business (Merchant etc....) to find new opportunities to bring revenue to the bank.
  • Always meet required service standards
  • Continuously manage your opportunities pipelines for the Treasury area.
  • Participate in ongoing education regarding Treasury Management products.
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in banking industry or related field.
  • Strong partnership and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Collaboration tools like TEAMS, WebEx, and Zoom.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be proficient in technology applications.
  • Strong planning and follow through mindset.
  • Experience with treasury management products.
  • Knowledge of commercial and retail banking products and applicable regulations.

Desired Skills & Competencies:
  • 8+ years in Treasury Services Sales
  • Certified Treasury Professional
