Job description

Join Fintech as a Treasury Operations Analyst!

The Treasury Operations Analyst supports daily treasury and financial operations by processing payment activity, monitoring banking transactions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate operational records. This role also contributes to process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional projects to help ensure efficient, compliant, and effective treasury operations.

Essential Functions:

Banking Operations & Cash Management

  • Process and analyze payment activity, ACH transactions, cash applications, and banking operations within internal systems.
  • Review transaction activity for accuracy, completeness, and operational compliance.
  • Investigate payment exceptions, reconciliation variances, unapplied cash items, and transaction discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, vendors, and financial institutions regarding payment activity and operational issues.
  • Support daily banking operations including payment tracking, operational balancing, and transaction review activities.

Operational Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Participate in operational improvement initiatives associated with the Company’s migration
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend workflow improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Assist with documenting business processes, operational procedures, and system-related changes.
  • Support testing, validation, and implementation of operational system enhancements.
  • Assist in developing operational reporting and process metrics.

Project & Systems Support

  • Participate in operational and cross-functional projects.
  • Coordinate and track operational issues requiring Information Technology or systems support.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and operational readiness activities related to system changes and upgrades.
  • Provide operational support and subject matter expertise during process redesign and conversion initiatives.

Financial Operations Support

  • Support recurring billing, invoice processing, and financial operations activities.
  • Maintain accurate operational and financial documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries related to payment activity, reconciliation issues, and operational reporting.
  • Support month-end operational and reporting activities as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking operations, accounting operations, payment processing, cash applications, or related financial operations preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial or operational systems.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience participating in process improvement initiatives, workflow redesign, or system implementations.
  • Understanding of transaction processing, reconciliation concepts, and financial operations.
  • Experience working within evolving systems environments and operational conversions.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in resolving operational issues.
  • CPA certification and/or Master’s degree in Accounting considered a plus.
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies, SQL, and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting platforms considered a plus.

Salary:

Salary range is: 55,000-70,000
