A Director I level colleague is generally viewed as a subject matter expert in the industry they cover.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.* Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks and esc* Portfolio administration, including management of delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, product renewals, etc., as applicable.* As applicable, attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners. Establish positioning as secondary bank contact for the portfolio of covered clients.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market/industry trends. Conduct industry and market research using numerous resources available.* Assist with training and/or mentoring Analyst, Associate and Associate Director level colleagues.* Provide accurate and timely front-end guidance to Relationship Management colleagues, drawing upon knowledge of Huntington credit policies and credit culture.* Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree* 8+ years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment**Preferred Qualifications:*** Formal credit training* Experience in the syndicated loan market* Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ* High level of professionalism and attention to detail* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)**Exempt Status: (Yes** = not eligible for overtime pay) (**No** = eligible for overtime pay)Yes**Workplace Type:**OfficeOur Approach to **Office** Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
