Overview
The Lead Cash Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient posting of payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts or other financial systems within BrightSpring Health. Must be able to learn and train in several EMR applications and multitask daily. This role requires a high level of expertise in posting, balancing reports, interpretation of payor contract verses system expected rates. This position requires great knowledge of various training techniques while developing and maintain team relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Work with billing teams for problem accounts
    • Review and correct as necessary
  • Review all ERA and Lockbox payments for missing EOB's and pull them for the cash posters as needed as well has helping post payments
  • Verify all payments have been posted to each system
  • Review and correct accounts with unapplied payments and sequestration adjustments
  • Backup for Velocity payments to be processed in CC system and prepare them for posting
  • Pull all Zero remits to be posted into the system and make sure they are logged on the recon spreadsheet using payer websites
  • Work with Treasury on any discrepancies between bank report and recon spreadsheet
  • Perform such other tasks and special projects as assigned by management
  • Follow-up on all major variances on a timely basis for the unapplied cash and cash transfers
  • Trainer for new team members

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required; Associates degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Two to three years of account related experience preferred
  • Analytical, communication, organizational skills and knowledge of general accounting methods required
  • Minimum two year of cash posting background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel required
  • Two years computer experience to include Windows applications
  • Be able to read payer EOB's and understand how to research patient accounts
