Job Summary:
Sev1Tech LLC is a managed service provider for Army and DoD IT systems, looking for a Cloud Engineer to support their ALTESS commercial cloud services infrastructure. The role involves migrating on-premises applications to the cloud and managing secure transport technologies while ensuring effective project management.
Responsibilities:
• Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol
• Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
• Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
• Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or AWS CodeDeploy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA cert) AND computing environment certification (i.e. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Computer Science or IT
• Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience that includes: Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol
• Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
• Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
