Job description

The Endpoint Scanning Administrator operates and maintains DISA-approved security scanners (e.g., ACAS) to manage vulnerability scanning across various network environments. This role involves creating scan schedules, resolving scan failures, deploying scanning tools, and analyzing mission requirements to improve reporting and overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain security scanners to plan, create, manage, and retire schedules for ad hoc and recurring scans across isolated, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet environments.
  • Ensure scans, accounts, and configurations adhere to best practice guides and DISA policies.
  • Communicate, resolve, and revalidate scan failures with all stakeholders.
  • Test, evaluate, and deploy endpoint scanning tools and configurations to DISA endpoints.
  • Analyze mission requirements and organizational feedback to create, configure, and improve scan reports.
  • Monitor, identify, and facilitate the resolution of performance-impacting issues.
  • Create and/or review security scan reports with stakeholders.
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification: Current DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification with a network environment focus and ACAS certifications.
  • Experience:
    • Five or more years of relevant/recent experience with endpoint tools and cybersecurity.
    • Three or more years of relevant/recent experience with Microsoft Office products.
