We specialize in enabling complex communication networks critical to the operations of the Department of Defense, civilian government, and commercial markets.

Summary / Objective
The Supply Chain Support Specialist provides essential support to the procurement team by expediting critical orders, managing returns, assisting buyers, and coordinating small operational tasks. This role plays a key part in protecting delivery schedules, maintaining supplier communication, and ensuring the accuracy and flow of procurement activities.

Essential Functions

1. Expediting – Top Priority
• Send weekly open-order reports to suppliers and request updated status.
• Collect ship dates, delivery confirmations, and other milestone updates.
• Update the Expedite Purchase Orders screen and adjust due dates as needed.
• Work critical items to resolution, including pull-in requests and partial shipments.
• Escalate at-risk orders quickly to ensure program delivery timelines are protected.

2. RTV and RMA Management – Second Priority
• Initiate RMA requests with suppliers for defective or incorrect materials.
• Track returns and follow the process through to credit or replacement completion.
• Follow up on aging RMAs and escalate delays as needed.
• Maintain an up-to-date RMA tracking sheet.

3. Buyer Support – Third Priority (WorkloadDependent)
• Process purchase order change requests (dates, quantities, ship-to changes, etc.).
• Place new orders when buyer workload requires support.
• Assist in clearing buyer backlogs during peak demand or urgent periods.
• Help maintain procurement documents in an organized and auditable format.

4. eBay Management – Fourth Priority
• Monitor listing activity and respond to customer inquiries.
• Perform basic order fulfillment steps as required.
• Update listings and maintain accuracy of posted items.

Additional Responsibilities
• Assist with sourcing activities and contacting suppliers for quotations when needed.
• Communicate with Program Managers, Operations, and Buyers to support schedule requirements.
• Maintain confidential information and follow all company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma required.
• Two years of clerical, supply chain, or purchasing-related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of supply chain operations and procurement workflows.
• Experience with Deltek CostPoint strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to maintain effective, professional working relationships across departments.
